The role - what you'll do Barr is seeking an environmental data management technician to join our team. In this hybrid role, you will support the Assessment and Remediation business unit. The person in this position will work primarily in the environmental database EQuIS and heavily in Microsoft Excel. Tasks may include entering data into the EQuIS database; manually checking data thoroughly against original documents; entering geologic data and producing boring logs; producing charts and reports; performing advanced formulas and functions in Microsoft Excel; following processes set by the data management department; and discussing data and projects with other data management staff and project teams. The ideal candidate for this position is a detail-oriented and motivated individual with a strong interest in environmental data and technology. They are eager to learn and build technical skills, comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and confident asking questions to support their growth. They are organized, adaptable, and proactive in completing tasks in office settings. With a focus on accuracy and reliability, they take ownership of their work and show a commitment to continuous improvement.
