DCCA is a growing and dynamic company serving as the large prime on a very successful contract, and we are searching for a motivated and energetic Systems Engineer (Level 1). We are looking for someone with hands-on systems engineering skills supporting operations and testing, with knowledge of modern communications networks. You will be working with a large team of highly qualified, skilled and motivated professionals, designing, implementing and testing solutions to address challenges in an evolving landscape. The ideal candidate would meet all requirements and possess one or more of the items in the list of desired knowledge and experience.

Required Years Experience/Education - Systems Engineer with Strong SA background

- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, ComputerScience, Information Systems, Engineering Science,Engineering Management or related discipline from anaccredited college or university isrequired.

- Five (5) years of additional SE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

- Seven (7) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Required Skills/Experience:

-Strong hardware background required to integrate, optimize, and test next generation hardware into future system deployments. Hardware Includes but is not limited to: Dell servers, NVidia GPUs, network interface cards, network switches, and optical recorders.

- Support hardware integration efforts for software development team tasks may include:
- Testing various hardware configurations and bios setting on next Generation Dell servers
- Optimize optical switching to test servers
- Configure and maintain network switch to support lab efforts
- Maintain 20-30 racks of equipment
- Rack and cable new hardware as needed
- Support lab management duties
- Provide hardware recommendations for next generation hardware procurement
- Hardware Includes but is not limited to: Dell servers, NVidia GPUs, network interface cards, network switches, and optical recorders.

-Experience loading and configuring the software on the appropriate hardware including the specific equipment, local controller and remote controller.
- Experience integrating these processors and their HW & SW into overall system architecture

- Strong Linux SA background required to help enhance and automate growing development and testing environment.

AdditionalDesired Skills/Experience:

  • Experience supporting STE/STN requirements across multiple SSP
  • Experience automating SA tasks
  • Experience with Kubernetes

Work Environment:
This team works in government spaces and interacts frequently with our customers to understand their requirements, schedules and priorities. This is a medium sized team of about 35 systems engineers, software engineers, subject matter experts, and other supporting disciplines including information systems security, systems administration, and technical writing. You will be an integral part of that team working to support an active mission.

The proposed salary range for this position in Maryland is $140,000 - $225,000. The final salary will be determined based on various factors.
