Description
Summary/Purpose of the Position:
The Inside Sales Account Manager develops new businesses, stimulates sales growth for existing and new accounts, manages all region leads, and on-boards new customers and sells the full range of products and services. This role is focused on small to medium sized customer segments with approximately 250-350 significant revenue accounts in an assigned Region. The Inside Account Manager develops and closes opportunities of moderate complexity within an assigned geography, market segment or vertical strategy. Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:
- Increase revenue in the area by utilizing inside sales communication methodology including but not limited to: phone calls, emails and strategic electronic marketing tactics
- Responsible for qualifying new sales leads
- Coordinates order management activities: order entry, contract review, on-time delivery fulfillment, inventory maintenance, special handling requirements, product specification maintenance, returns and any other customer related activities in support of customer needs
- Responsible for establishing a calling pattern with a list of All-Spec prospect accounts in key market segments for the area in coordination with the Sales Manager and Marketing Team
- Participates in Reactivation campaigns within a given Zone focused on reactivating inactive accounts
- Collaborates with internal and external resources by identifying emerging customer needs, cost savings opportunities, competitive threats and opportunities to increase revenue
- Develops and oversees sales plan to achieve annual account objectives
- Continually develops and expands technical and product knowledge in support of the customer base
- Performs timely follow-up on appointments and inquiries
- Leverages the HiscoMex Value Proposition by identifying opportunities for platinum suppliers, MRO, documents cost savings, adds value and sales solutions
- Coordinates with Marketing on lead follow-up activities resulting from Platinum Supplier campaigns or key market focused campaigns
- Monitors key performance indicators to identify gaps in customer profitability or service levels and proactively works with cross-functional resources (operations, procurement, quality, finance, sales, etc.) to resolve
- Makes clear, well-organized presentations over the phone; demonstrates understanding of audience needs and interests
- Schedules in-person visits with selected customers as needed
- Records/maintains all customer related information and sales activity in the CRM system to allow for a 360 degree view of the customer
- Indirectly responsible for product quality
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Marketing or Business Administration desirable, but not indispensable
- 2+ years of experience in industrial sales
- At least 80% proficiency with written and spoken English
- Excellent product knowledge
