Description
Summary / Position Purpose: The National & EDU Account Specialist provides the highest level of service to our customers in this sector, while facilitating and winning sales. It is critical that AS candidates understand technical capabilities of products and their use. Interested candidates must possess knowledge of Electronic Production industry customers and their needs in both R&D and product environments. Must be capable of navigating TestEquity solutions and resources on behalf of those customers. Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:
- Quoting and booking orders for the National and EDU accounts
- Determine the best solutions and products to offer the customers
- Accurate entry of information and utilization of an ERP system
- Responsible for pricing according to National and EDU guidelines
- Obtain pricing approval as needed in competitive situations
- Work closely with Product Management to understand products and solve customer's product needs
- Attend meetings, trade shows, when necessary, with customers and sales teams to determine business requirements
- Responsible for keeping all contact databases updated with regards to quotes and follow-up dates
- Participation in the execution of the sales strategy in coordination with the Director of Strategic and National Accounts
- Indirectly responsible for product quality
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED is required
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Ideally, a year of sales experience within any industry
- Strong working knowledge of CRM (Dynamics)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Project, Power Point, Excel, and Word
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to our customers internally and externally.
- Ability to understand customer needs and provide successful solutions
- Creative, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- High personal accountability for self and others
- Excellent relationship building skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
