Qualification

Required:

  • Minimum Required Qualifications: AAS Physical Therapy
  • Temporary licensure or current NJ Licensure
  • Successful completion of all orientation programs
  • BLS certification within ninety days of hire to the department

Preferred:

  • Preferred Qualifications APTAMember CI Certification by APTA

Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):

  • N/A

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):

  • Full-Time
  • Day

Essential Functions:

  • Treats inpatients and outpatients to meet the established Standard of Care
  • Educates internal and external customers
  • Directly supervises the work of physical therapist assistants students as well as keep the supervisor and managers informed of progress
  • collaborates scheduling of inpatient and outpatient caseload in conjunction with Supervisor
  • Makes recommendations for services outside of the discipline
  • Records statistical information for the department in a timely manner
  • Supervises technicians, aides and volunteers.
  • Participates in the interdisciplinary patient/member teaching process
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify patient/member's educational needs
  • Organizes, and implements outcome tools into professional practice when applicable
  • Keeps up to date and accurate medical records
  • Demonstrates compliance and timeliness in outpatient and / or inpatient billing
  • maintains an open channel of communication among members of the interdisciplinary team involved in patient care including non-clinical support staff
