Job Description:

As a Security Lobby Ambassador in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading technology location, you will be the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and guests. Your primary responsibilities will include managing access control, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming and professional presence at the front desk. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible and approachable demeanor, while also responding promptly to inquiries and assisting with any security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $30.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and visitor logs as required by site procedures.
• Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including communication with Allied Universal management and local authorities.
• Support a welcoming and professional environment at the front desk, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
