Capital Cravings by TCMA is seeking an experienced Catering Coordinator to join our team.

The Catering Coordinator answers the Catering and Events phone and assists clients or transfers calls to Catering Managers if appropriate. This person will engage with clients to immediately develop a partnership, and work to understand client needs in order to help them make the best choices for their meetings and events.


Essential Functions

  • Answer calls in a timely fashion and follow up to ensure the caller was taken care of
  • Immediately pass information to appropriate party
  • Maintain logs as directed
  • Ensure office is clean and welcoming for any visitors
  • Interface with IMF personnel and assist with their meeting planning needs or put them in contact with an Event Planning Manager
  • Learn all aspects of the property management system
  • Check rooms and common areas as directed
  • Prepare reports, plan events, interface with other service providers, attend meetings as directed
  • Ensure that all meeting space and food and beverage is set correctly and on time, common areas are pristine, meet with clients prior to meeting/event and monitor meetings throughout the day. Follow up with clients after the meeting/event for feedback.


Candidate's Requirements

  • One or two years of experience in event planning/operations/training
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong understanding of customer service
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with EMS system(s) a plus


Environment:

  • Able to stand/walk for extended period of time
  • Able to perform data entry for extended period of time
