ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

"Printing experience (digital and offset) direct mail (lettershop). ESTIMATOR MUST HAVE BOTH

* Estimate Preparation: Analyze job specifications to provide accurate cost estimates for digital and offset printing, as well as mailing projects.

* Collaboration: Work closely with sales, production, and procurement teams to ensure all project requirements are understood and met.

* Cost Calculation: Calculate material costs, labor, machine time, and additional services to ensure projects remain profitable.

* Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and outsourced services.

* Customer Proposals: Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for customer proposals and bids.

* Market Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with paper stocks, inks, printing techniques, mailing regulations, and finishing processes.

* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation for all projects.

* Post-Project Analysis: Conduct cost analysis after project completion to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.

2. Knowledge of digital and offset printing processes.

3. Understanding of mailing services, including USPS regulations and bulk mailing requirements.

4. Ability to read and interpret job tickets, purchase orders, and customer specifications.

5. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective team collaboration.

7. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

1. High school diploma required.

2. 2+ years of experience in print estimating, with a focus on digital printing and mailing.

3. Experience with EPMS MIS and digital marketing services is a plus.
