Position Summary:
Intralox is seeking a Lead Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) DBA to manage the performance, availability, and scalability of our EBS environments. This role combines deep technical expertise with team leadership, supporting mission-critical systems and guiding a global DBA team.


Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Oracle EBS environments: patching, cloning, backups, recovery, code migrations, and performance tuning.
  • Administer Oracle RDBMS, WebLogic, and related components.
  • Lead backup/recovery strategy and test restorations.
  • Responsible for monitoring existing Oracle instances to ensure high availability and performance of application and database services.
  • Troubleshoot and tune Oracle E-Business and Non-ERP databases.
  • Oversee environment provisioning and patching.
  • Monitor systems using Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control.
  • Support production issues and coordinate with Oracle Support.
  • Plan and perform upgrades, migrations, and maintenance for Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL.
  • Lead onshore/offshore DBA team activities.
  • Develop SOPs and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Perform basic system administration and resolve system alerts.
  • Manage incidents and service requests to resolution / fulfilment with supporting documentation.
  • Escalate and communicate critical issues effectively.
  • Demonstrate customer service abilities that inspire trust and confidence in technical abilities.
Requirements:
B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information systems, or related curriculum
  • 10+ years hands-on operational experience working as an Oracle EBS DBA, with expertise in RAC, Data Guard, WebLogic and OEM.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Oracle R12.2 and Oracle 19c (Multi-Tenant) is a must.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Edition Options (Diagnostics, Partitioning, etc.)
  • Skilled in configuration and management of ApEx, ECC, and MWA and performance and tuning tools (AWR, ASH).
  • Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, RMAN, Data Pump, and automation.
  • Experiencing managing Critical Patch Updates (CPU) for Technology layer of various Oracle Components.
  • Experience automating database backups.
  • Familiarity with Load Balancing services.
  • Experience administering Oracle Fusion / Cloud applications and migrating On-Prem EBS environment to OCI / PaaS model preferred.
  • Familiarity with ExaData preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or hands-on experience with application of ITIL Principles (Incident, Problem and Change Management).
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar based ticketing tools.
  • Intermediate UNIX/Windows Administration skills and scripting skills.
  • SQL Server administration experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical resources.
  • A strong sense of ownership and transparent acceptance of responsibility.
