Vehicles Analyst - Job Summary The Vehicles Analyst role will have a strategic and analytics-driven focus, prioritizing the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) such as fleet utilization, preventive maintenance (PM) compliance, and repair cost per vehicle. The analyst will play a critical role in managing and maintaining overall fleet costs through advanced data analysis and project-based process improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong background in data analytics, technology development, and project management to support scalable, cost-effective fleet operations. Primary Activities and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain fleet KPIs to measure performance across utilization, maintenance compliance, and cost metrics. Provide regular reporting to leadership to support data-driven decisions.
- Analyze fleet maintenance spend and operational data to identify cost-saving opportunities, monitor trends, and implement strategies to control total cost of ownership.
- Design and implement new business processes and tools that enhance visibility, efficiency, and performance tracking within fleet operations.
- Act as project lead for initiatives related to cost containment, repair strategy optimization, and vendor performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with field teams, fleet support, and vendors to resolve recurring maintenance and safety issues using root cause analysis and data insights.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
- Less than 1 year of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Project Mgmt, Technology, and/or Data analytics
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
- 2 or more years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Project Mgmt, Technology, and/or Data analytics
Knowledge and Skills
- Expertise in data analytics, dashboarding, and KPI reporting (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
- Strong project management skills; able to design and lead cross-functional initiatives
- Experience building and optimizing business processes to reduce costs and improve performance
- Familiarity with fleet operations, regulatory frameworks (FRA, DOT), and vendor management
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
