As Cencora continues to expand its capabilities in artificial intelligence and machine learning, there is a growing need to cultivate early-career talent who can support and grow with our AIPS initiatives. The proposed AI/ML Engineering Intern role is designed to provide senior-year undergraduate students with hands-on experience in real-world AI/ML projects, while also supporting the technical operations of platforms like CenChat and GenIE Platform.

As an AI/ML Engineering Intern, you will support Cencora's AI and ML initiatives by working alongside Cognitive Architects, Business Analysts, and internal stakeholders. This internship offers hands-on experience with intelligent assistants like CenChat and exposure to cutting-edge technologies in machine learning and automation.

We're looking for a curious, motivated intern with a passion for AI/ML who is eager to learn and contribute to real-world projects in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and testing prototypes for scalable machine learning infrastructure.
  • Support the development of MLOps practices including model training, packaging, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Help build and maintain pipelines for ML operations and infrastructure automation.
  • Collaborate with AI Architects and ML Engineers to support successful deployment of AI/ML workloads.
  • Learn and apply AI algorithms while adhering to architectural standards.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues within ML platforms.
  • Analyze business processes and data flows to support model development under guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of analytical models that support business growth.
  • Help promote adoption of ML solutions using explainable AI techniques.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, entering senior year.
  • Must not require sponsorship to work in the US, now or in the future
  • Exposure to or coursework in AI/ML, Deep Learning, or Computer Vision.
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms and data engineering concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience or coursework in Agile/DevOps tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
