As a Security Guard - Access Control - Full Time in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at an educational location. Your responsibilities will focus on access control, where you will monitor entry points, check credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access. Through routine patrols and a visible presence, you will help to prevent security-related incidents and offer a reassuring presence to students, staff, and visitors. Exceptional customer service and clear communication are essential, as you will interact with a diverse community and provide assistance as needed. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to individuals at the location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures.
• Monitor and manage entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, visitors, and/or emergency responders as required.
• Document and report security-related incidents and/or concerns according to site and Allied Universal procedures.
• Assist in implementing emergency response activities as needed, based on the needs of the educational environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
