Your Job

The Operations Business Leader is accountable for the development of strategies for field operations, management of unit operational risk, and leadership for field operations. A key function of this role will be to leverage business measures and refinery knowledge to provide the operations team and refinery with a line of sight to operational priorities and value drivers, and a focus towards field activities that advance business results and ensure operational excellence.

Our Team

The team this role will be working in is the field operations team, which includes the operations planning and equipment preparation for maintenance, maintenance prioritization, and operation of equipment to optimize business results.

What You Will Do

  • Identify, develop, and understand operational drivers and constraints to create strategies that ensure optimal business performance.
  • Facilitate and lead the team to identify and execute operations efficiency improvements
  • Frame and advance operations business improvements
  • Oversight health of disciplined operations practices and lead the team to build capacity and resiliency
  • Manage the overall health of the operating team including talent position and organizational health/staffing POV
  • Set and communicate asset priorities to ensure equipment care, process monitoring, and asset health objectives are met
  • Interface with shift and organizational leaders to ensure we are communicating priorities and aligned as "One Team"
  • Lead efforts of the "Day" operations organization, empowering principled action, developing talent, and ensuring vision connection
  • Manage the tactical risk of the operating equipment by collaborating with various refinery capabilities to ensure proper risk alignment and resolution
  • Provide planning oversight and lead the operational efforts of turnarounds and critical work

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Two (2) years or more of experience in a technical or operational role within a refining, chemical, or petrochemical industry
  • Leadership experience in either a formal or informal capacity
