As a Market Access, Health Economics Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping reimbursement strategies, driving health economic research, and enhancing patient access to innovative medical technologies. This position offers a unique blend of strategic analysis, data-driven storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration with global partners across medical affairs, marketing, and commercial teams. The Ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset with strong communication skills, a passion for healthcare innovation, and experience navigating the U.S. payer landscape. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in therapeutic apheresis, hematology, neuro-immunology, and rare diseases. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- In collaboration with regional market access teams, co-develop reimbursement pathways and provide input into strategies for the U.S. market.
- Actively engage in health economic data collection, this includes meeting with customers using Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies (TBCT) technology and setting up systems to collect data related to patient outcomes, quality of life and health resource utilization.
- Run analysis on health economic data sets and translate into abstracts, posters, publications, payer education documents and commercial tools.
- For new product development and clinical indications, assess the market access, pricing and reimbursement pathways.
- Align with payer policy and identify opportunities for business growth and market access activities.
- Identify opportunities for health data collection and health economic value demonstration together with the local stakeholders and the commercial organization.
- Develop a regional value story and value dossier to support reimbursement requests.
- Run strategic analysis in partnership with global or regional partners related to our enterprise development activities.
- Works cross-functionally key stakeholders from medical affairs, marketing, commercial and clinical sales to enhance patient access.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Education
- Knowledge required to perform at this level is generally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience or above.
- Post-graduate training in market access, health policy, epidemiology/biostatistics, health services research, or health economics and outcomes research is preferred.
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, consulting, or medical device industry. Experience in the medical device industry is preferred. Experience in academia is also accepted.
- Experience running advanced analytics is favored either in a professional environment or during education.
- Experience and familiarity navigating the United States commercial and public payer health systems and landscape.
- Experience consulting and executing on health economics and outcomes research projects from inception to publication is a plus.
- Experience with statistical software, like SAS, R, EXCEL/VBA, STATA, SPSS, and/or python programming is an asset.
- Familiarity in the clinical areas of therapeutic apheresis, hematology, neuro-immunology, and/or rare diseases is an asset.

Target Pay Range:$83,600.00to$104,500.00 -Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
