THE ROLE

The Regional Consultant will sell MFS Investment products and services through financial intermediaries in the Broker-Dealer, Regional, Independent and Bank channels within New England.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Works closely with the Managing Director, develops business plan and strategy and deliver territory plan to maximize sales. Aligns sales strategies with MFS company goals, purpose, and priorities. Develops and implements relationships with clients. Works in partnership with Sales, Client Service, Product, Compliance, and Marketing

  • Act as primary relationship owner in the territory/region and manage sales activities with both new and existing clients.

  • Conducts daily sales meetings with financial intermediaries in branch offices to promote MFS products and services.

  • Provides top quality service to accounts.

  • Learns how to identify new relationships with territorial dealers.Develops these relationships as directed. Engages with regional top tier firms and looks to identify opportunities within the region. Follows strategy developed by Department Head, Managing Director and Sr. Managing Director. Serves as internal sales partner to two external territories

  • Attends in office meetings 1 week per month

  • Serves as internal sales partner to two external territories while maintaining own territory goals

  • Maintains and updates appointment meeting calendar through C360. Adheres to timely submission of expense reports.

  • Attends conferences and training to further build knowledge and skills and shares information about sales trends and developments with home office personnel. Build strong sales skills and study industry trends through interaction with corporate team, training, continuing education requirements, and sales meetings.

  • Take responsibility for continually keeping themselves up to date in terms of the local regulatory framework and changes and country specific items that impact the region.

  • Complies with all internal and external rules, policies and procedures.

  • Performs additional responsibilities as required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education or experience.

  • 6-8+ industry sales or related experience.

  • Ability to meet extensive travel requirements.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, communication and sales skills.

  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of integrity

  • In depth product and industry knowledge.

  • Proficiency in local language preferred

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Position requires FINRA licensing in accordance with MFS's policy.
