Responsibilities

State Farm is looking for students who are passionate about creating outstanding user experiences on web and mobile platforms to join our Summer Internship Program. In this internship, you will develop visual elements, design user flows, and create basic wireframes and prototypes on customer or agent channel work efforts. Qualifications
We Are Looking for The Following:
- Seeking full-time college or university students
- Courses on or Majors in: Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Visual Communication, Design Thinking, Web Design, Product Design, Mobile Design, Information Architecture, Computer Science
- Related coursework or experience in user experience design, human computer interactions, human centered design, graphic design, user research, design thinking
- Experience with design principles, design best practices, design systems
- Basic understanding of foundational graphic design principles, including layout, typography, and color theory
- Knowledge of and ability to create various UI/UX designs-layouts, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, user flows, and journey maps
- Experience using Figma, and one or more of the following: Adobe CC, Illustrator, Photoshop
- Drive and initiative to lead and affect positive change
- Leadership skills through extracurricular and professional endeavors
- Ability to thrive in a team environment, both in-person and virtual
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- The ability to work in an environment that emphasizes information sharing, collaboration, teamwork, mutual respect, and integrity
Internship Program Eligibility:
- To be eligible for the summer internship program, you must be a full-time student currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program throughout the duration of the internship.
- At least one semester of college remaining after the summer of 2026.
***Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (e.g. H-1B visa) for this opportunity*** What You Can Expect:
- The internship will occur between June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026 (10 weeks)
- We will host in-person onboarding in Bloomington, IL
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 38.75 hours per week
- Due to the short duration of the summer program, it is an expectation that hired interns will be available for the duration of the summer internship with little to no disruption in work schedule.
- Pay: $28.00/hour. In addition, interns selected for our summer internship program will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend!
- Work Arrangement:
- Remote: Qualified candidates (outside of locations listed below) may be considered for 100% remote work arrangements based on where a candidate currently resides or is currently located. Remote interns could be asked to travel to an assigned location throughout the summer for onboarding and various events.
- Hub Locations: Dunwoody, GA; Richardson, TX; Tempe, AZ; or Bloomington, IL
- In Person Events, Locations, and Dates:
- Onboarding (Bloomington, IL): May 31, 2026 - June 4, 2026
- Second In-Person Week (Bloomington, Dunwoody, Richardson, Tempe): Week of July 6 (Subject to change)
- Senior Trip (Dec 2026/May 2027 grads) (Tempe, AZ); Week of July 27 (subject to change)
