*AV Systems Support Technician* Location: On-site - Cambridge, MA
Employment Type: Ongoing Contract (Potential for Permanent Hire) Client Industry: Real Estate / Corporate Facilities *Overview* We're hiring an experienced AV Systems Support Technician to provide on-site support for a real estate client's corporate office in Cambridge, MA. This role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting AV systems across executive conference rooms, huddle spaces, and shared collaboration areas. Success in this role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and responsiveness. Candidates with a background in executive-level AV support or polished, client-facing environments will be especially well-suited. *Key Responsibilities* * Provide daily AV support for high-profile meeting spaces, including executive boardrooms, client-facing areas, and shared collaboration rooms. * Set up, test, and monitor AV systems for live meetings, presentations, and video conferences, ensuring seamless performance and minimal disruption. * Troubleshoot and resolve issues with AV control systems (Crestron), DSPs (Biamp), switching and signal routing (Extron), and UC platforms (Zoom, Teams). * Perform preventative maintenance, firmware updates, and system health checks to ensure reliability and uptime. * Respond promptly to service requests and provide white-glove support to executive users, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor under pressure. * Coordinate with IT, facilities, and third-party vendors to resolve complex AV issues and support system upgrades. * Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, service history, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions. * Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and user experience. *Required Skills & Experience* * Hands-on experience with Crestron, Biamp, and Extron systems. * Strong understanding of AV signal flow, cabling standards, and basic networking. * Proven ability to support executive-level users with professionalism and discretion. * Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * Experience working in corporate office environments. *Preferred Qualifications* * CTS certification - highly valued. * Experience supporting Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, or similar UC platforms. * Familiarity with AV over IP technologies and remote management tools. * Prior experience in real estate, property management, or corporate facilities environments. *What We Offer* * Ongoing contract with potential for full-time conversion. * Competitive compensation aligned with Boston-area AV technician market rates. * Opportunity to work with modern AV technologies in a high-visibility corporate setting. * Supportive team environment and room for growth. * Exposure to enterprise-level AV infrastructure and operations. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
