Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Logistics Scheduler in our Bowling Green, Kentucky Stamping Facility. The Logistics Scheduler is responsible for coordinating production orders against demand and forecast and purchase material as required. The ideal candidate will have prior logistics experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:




    • Place orders based on the demand identification/requisition from the supervisor
    • Make suggestions for improving the accuracy and timeliness of information needed to place purchase materials and schedule production activities
    • Expedite orders placed with the vendor to ensure availability to the manufacturing floor
    • Communicate with the production floor and shipping
    • Responsible for selecting accounts and ensuring those accounts stay on schedule for completion regarding both materials and production
    • Develop supplier base to ensure the company is getting the best value
    • Responsible for purchasing including quotes, ordering, purchase order entry, shipping of items to and, from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery
    • Track, monitor, and orders consumables
    • Maintain and administer inventory control through maintenance program.
    • Track and control costs.
    • Compiles distribute and file necessary documents.
    • Other duties, as assigned



    .Minimum Qualifications:




      • Minimum 3 years' experience of forklift experience in a manufacturing environment
      • Must have a technical background in manufacturing environment
      • Should possess strong calculative and analytical skill sets
      • Ability and effectiveness to manage time to meet required deadlines
      • Possess a high level of data accuracy
      • Must be detail orientated
      • Strong negotiating skills are required



      Preferred Qualifications:




        • College level diploma or equivalent education and work experience
        • Knowledge of Word, Excel, CMS & Visual
