At KLJ, we're building stronger communities - and it all starts with accurate, reliable data. We're looking for a Survey Technician to support our engineering teams and gain hands-on experience in the field.
What You'll Do
Assist with land surveys under the guidance of a licensed land surveyor.
Operate survey instruments and help create boundary, topographic, subdivision, and as-built maps.
Gather and analyze data from property records, deeds, and site observations.
Produce accurate documentation using CAD, Civil 3D, sketches, and reports.
Learn best practices in surveying, compliance, and safety while contributing to real projects.
What You Bring
High school diploma (technical training or coursework in surveying is a plus).
Curiosity and willingness to learn - previous survey or CAD experience a bonus.
Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
Flexibility to travel and work extended hours as projects require.

Hours and Travel: This position requires the individual work 40 or more hours per week with 10% of the time spent in the office and 90% in the field.
