Exemption Status: ExemptJob Description: Collaborates with faculty and academic offices to determine training needs designing solutions customized for Trinity University faculty. Working within the Information Services unit, develops and delivers comprehensive awareness campaigns, learning initiatives and training opportunities focused on educational technologies. Responsible for academic outreach activities including developing training materials and providing sessions, symposia and special technology events. May assist in the development of technological and pedagogical solutions for those in an instructional capacity on campus, as well as projects that synthesize the two. Performs a variety of tasks including consultations to select appropriate instructional tools and methods, large-scale instructional projects for Trinity classes and individual projects to support and promote the use of educational technology on campus. Works in close collaboration with the Education and Research Technology Committee and the Collaborative for Learning & Teaching to promote the adoption and effective use of instructional technologies on campus and foster a culture of technological curiosity and experimentation.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
EDUCATION Required: Master's degree in instructional design, education technology or related field. Work experience, above what is required, may substitute for required education on a year-for-year basis. EXPERIENCE Required: One year of experience designing workshops or other live trainings and producing supporting documentation, videos and digital learning content. Experience with customer service orientation. Preferred: Background in teaching and/or public speaking. Professional experience working with and supporting faculty. Three years of experience designing workshops or other live trainings and producing supporting documentation, videos and digital learning content. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Required: Demonstrated skill in designing workshops or other live training. Knowledge of educational technologies and trends. Ability to learn new technologies and keep up with the pace of change. Proficient skill with word processing and presentation platforms (MS Office, GoogleDocs, etc.) |
