About the Role

As a key player in our Manufacturing Engineering team, you'll be at the heart of transforming operations across our sites, working closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Project Engineering. You'll lead initiatives that reduce downtime, improve material flow, and standardize best practices-making a measurable difference in safety, quality, and delivery.

This role offers flexibility to be based at one of our strategic manufacturing hubs:
Watertown, WI | Mankato, MN | Norfolk, NE | Quincy, IL


What You'll Do

Team Collaboration



  • Partner with Engineering & Operations to qualify and implement capital equipment
  • Support commissioning, training, and stabilization of new projects
  • Lead problem-solving workshops and train teams in continuous improvement methods
  • Collaborate with Maintenance to optimize PM schedules and parts inventory


Standards & Playbook Development



  • Validate and sustain flow line standards for materials, products, people, and equipment
  • Maintain and improve site Flowmaps (Shikumi)
  • Create and manage Job Instructions and support TWI training programs
  • Develop metrics and guidelines for upgrades and new installations


Project & Process Leadership



  • Drive cross-functional projects aligned with strategic goals
  • Facilitate Obeya/Flow Room methodology across corporate and site teams
  • Lead initiatives that enhance safety, quality, cost, and workflow efficiency
  • Champion our mission, culture, and values every step of the way

What We're Looking For



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Proven problem-solving and metric analysis skills
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred)
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, and statistical tools (Minitab/SPC)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
