Responsibilities

The Manager - Training is responsible for leading and managing the training function for clinic staff and providers, ensuring competency in both Epic and regulatory/compliance workflows. This position oversees a team of trainers (including Credentialed Trainers) focused on Epic Ambulatory, Cadence/Prelude, and MyChart; directly delivers training to staff and providers. The Manager partners closely with Clinic Operations, Compliance, HR, Epic Analysts, and IT Change/Release Management.

The Manager will develop and oversee training strategies for new hires, ongoing staff development, Epic upgrades, and compliance education. This includes monitoring training quality, providing feedback to trainers, and ensuring clinic staff demonstrate proficiency in Epic Ambulatory, Cadence/Prelude, MyChart, and related workflows.


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare, education, organizational development, or related field required.

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of training or education program leadership required.

  • Prior experience in Epic training (Ambulatory, Cadence/Prelude, MyChart) strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing Credentialed Trainers and/or clinical training programs strongly preferred.
  • Provider training experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of Epic training methodologies and credentialed trainer programs.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance and regulatory training requirements (HIPAA, OSHA, DNV).
  • Ability to design, implement, and measure training programs across multiple disciplines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work with staff, providers, IT, and leadership.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and mentoring skills.

Certification Requirements:

  • Epic credentialed trainer certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months) required.
  • Epic instructional designer certification preferred.
  • Adult learning/education certification (e.g., ATD, APTD, CPLP) preferred.
