Job Description:
The School District of Milton is seeking applicants for a part-time Instructional Aide position at East Elementary. This position involves supporting students with daily lessons, assisting teachers in developing instructional materials, and fostering communication between the school and students' families. Additional responsibilities include providing tutorial support outside the classroom and supervising students in various settings such as the cafeteria and playground. This is a part-time position scheduled for three hours and forty-five minutes per day, totaling eighteen hours and forty-five minutes per week. The workday runs from 9:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., beginning as soon as possible. The starting wage is $16.60 per hour, with additional compensation available for candidates who have prior experience as an aide in a public-school setting. Qualifications: Candidates should be organized, have strong communication skills, and be able to collaboratively work well with others (including other aides, teachers, students and parents). The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school setting and demonstrate empathy for children. A valid Wisconsin driver's license is required.
