TSC is seeking an experienced business leader to serve as a Division Manager, responsible for the management and growth of a segment of TSC's business. The Division Manager reports directly to the C-Suite and oversees a portfolio of business operations, including Profit & Loss (P&L) management, growth strategy, financial planning, and execution. TSC operates across several strategic market areas supporting the DoD, and this role plays a critical part in advancing our Systems Engineering efforts and expanding our customer base.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a Corporate advocate, ensuring division direction aligns with company strategy and vision. Manage division P&L and deliver on a 5-year sales and profit plan. Develop and sustain backlog growth to enable proactive hiring and long-term stability. Oversee annual budgets and meet sales, profit, and KPI goals set in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Guide multiple Business Operations to achieve goals and execute growth plans. Supervise Operations Managers and senior staff, setting objectives, metrics, and fostering professional growth. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, expanding TSC's presence across strategic markets. Lead business development and capture activities, including NAVSEA and Seaport/Seaport-e opportunities. Support program reviews, ensuring profitability, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction. Mitigate cost, schedule, and technical risks across programs. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, entrepreneurship, and high performance. Support Corporate strategy through reporting, policy implementation, and cross-company collaboration.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of P&L management experience (technical background preferred). US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance. Proven success managing business operations of ~$25M in revenue. Familiarity with Aegis, LCS, SSDS Combat Systems, or above-water Naval sensors. Experience working with NAVSEA or the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). Track record of collaborating with Corporate BD to build pipelines and achieve long-term growth goals. Experience building and developing chains of managerial and technical leadership. Strong background in financial, strategic, and resource management, with compliance to company policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to drive year-over-year sales and profit growth. Deep knowledge of management practices and processes in the DoD/government contracting environment. Experience translating customer requirements into actionable program plans and strategies. Strong understanding of the DoD acquisition process and services. Experience leading geographically dispersed, matrixed teams and building strong, innovative solutions-focused organizations. Effective communicator with skills in presentation development and cross-functional collaboration.
Desired Qualifications:
- Technical degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- PMP certification or DAWIA Level III certification with 5+ years of experience.
- Established relationships within NAVSEA, NSWCDD, and related DoD agencies.
- Demonstrated success in capturing large programs and expanding existing accounts.
- Experience supporting business development in NAVSEA/Seaport or similar environments.
- Strong change management and organizational leadership skills.
- Ability to foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance.
