Ballard Spahr is seeking an Onboarding Technician to play a crucial role in the firm's onboarding and off-boarding processes. This position involves a variety of tasks, including account and computer setup, exporting data from Outlook, and providing assistance with account maintenance. This opportunity offers a chance to contribute to the smooth integration of new team members while enhancing overall operational efficiency. The role operates in a hybrid environment, requiring occasional in-office presence, as well as potential travel to support firm-wide initiatives.

Your Role

As a Onboarding Technician within our Information Technology your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining user accounts by creating and terminating accounts as needed.

  • Communicating with the Hardware team to provide necessary information for new hires.

  • Assisting with quality assurance for new hire laptops and desktops.

  • Supporting new hire IT orientation, including device login and mobile device configuration.

  • Following up with new hires after 7 and 30 days to ensure proper functionality and software availability.

  • Assisting with Outlook exports, including calendars and contacts, for all offices as required.

  • Providing after-hours emergency and on-call support on a rotation schedule.

  • Communicating effectively with end users, executives, and other technical team members.

  • Cross-training on desktop application support.

Required Experience:

Candidates for this position should possess a college degree or have at least one year of relevant experience in account maintenance within an Active Directory (Azure) environment, as this is preferred. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in the firm's computer applications and document management systems. This includes familiarity with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and other databases relevant to specific practice or functional areas, such as NetDocuments and Elite. Strong technical skills in these applications are essential for success in this role.

The salary range for this position is from $45,000 - $60,000, which reflects the Firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as the candidate's experience and qualifications.
