Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a FGP Access Analyst - Manhattan.

The Access Analyst, serves as an integral member of the Ambulatory Access Strategy & Operations team, contributing to the planning, development and implementation of operational initiatives to foster and drive patient-access, patient-centered care, quality improvement, and operational excellence across all NYU Langone Health sites. The primary function of the FGP Access Analyst is to provide data management and reporting support to the Faculty Group Practice (FGP) to assist in achieving the organizations operational goals. This individual is responsible for monitoring performance with the end goal of equipping leaders with the information needed to manage key strategic decisions and supporting targeted performance improvement efforts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the ongoing analytics needs of the Faculty Group practice (FGP) leadership team, ensuring they have the necessary data and insights needed to drive patient access performance improvement initiatives. Partner with wider FGP Access team on strategic monitoring of data from the front end scorecard, Epic, Vizient, Press Ganey, Find a Doctor and MyChart, Salesforce, to extract themes and create comprehensive snapshots of practice, department, and FGP operational performance.
  • Research and evaluate data from different sources to identify discrepancies and patterns, and summarize information to report to key stakeholders. Ensure reports and dashboards are updated, disseminated, and operate properly and correctly.
  • Partner with FGP Access leadership and FGP Analytics team to support ongoing optimization of the FGP Patient Access Dashboard and other key FGP Patient Access reports, equipping FGP corporate and practice leadership with the information needed to monitor operational success. Collaborate with other team members and Management to explore and assist in building new models and metrics.
  • Assist in Vizient data management upload and validate regular data submissions and assist in analyzing reports from Vizient to improve practice operations and patient access.
  • Generate regular and ad hoc reports from multiple sources including Epic, Business Objects, Salesforce. Evaluate data to highlight performance changes, track progress on key initiatives, and to identify opportunities for FGP operational enhancement. Fulfill requests and manage follow-up questions. Perform outreach to FGP practice management to alert leaders of action needed or to highlight positive or negative performance trends on key Access KPIs, such as practice inbasket management or copay collection rate.
  • Assist & manage Salesforce reporting for all access teams, being the primary person to run reports, analyze findings, and summarize back to the leadership groups.
  • Assist with Salesforce tickets, build, design, for all access teams that utilize the tool. Assist with the roll-out and development of AI related features within platforms like Salesforce and Avaamo.
  • Collaborate with other team members and Management to explore and assist in building new models and metrics.
  • Drives consistency in every patient and colleague encounter by embodying the core principles of our FGP Service Strategy CARES (Connect, Align, Respond, Ensure, and Sign-Off
  • Proactively anticipates patient needs, and participates in service recovery by applying the LEARN model (Listen, Empathize, Apologize, Resolve, Notify), and escalates to leadership as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree, preferably in a computer science, business, or healthcare related major; or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. Require proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point, strong conceptual and analytical abilities. Proficiency and comfort with databases and manipulation of large datasets.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
1 -2 years work experience in an equivalent analytical or consulting role within healthcare.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 - $80,776.63 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
