Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our Data Science Services team at CertaraAI. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with internal teams to develop innovative LLM driven solutions and delivering high-quality machine learning based projects for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Work on client projects, primarily in the clinical space, involving:
    • Apply classical machine learning techniques to large clinical datasets across a variety of use cases, utilizing advanced data imputation, feature engineering, and model tuning methodologies.
    • Interface with client data science and data teams to understand project requirements.
    • Work with scientists and domain experts across Certara.
    • Design experiments, ensure clear goals, and deliver periodic updates to stakeholders.
    • Develop useful and interpretable models, presentations, and reproducible, version-controlled workflows.
    • Develop and maintain pipelines to enable efficient and effective project work.
    • Projects vary but past projects have been in the QSP-AI space, PKPD Modeling space, and predictive modeling of patient level biomarkers.
  • Work on internal and client engagements to apply CertaraAI's LLM platform to a variety of use cases:
    • Develop expertise in the CertaraAI LLM platform and apply it across various software offerings to enhance efficiency and introduce new features in Certara's products.
    • Collaborate with internal software product teams at Certara to design and develop proof-of-concepts that leverage the CertaraAI LLM platform to enhance Certara's efficiency and solve business problems.
    • Use a combination of prompt engineering, scripting, retrieval augmented generation, and creativity to solve problems using the platform.
    • Create feature requests for the platform based on hands-on experience and contribute to its development trajectory.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a data science role.
  • Strong background in clinical data analysis.
  • Excellent presentation skills with experience communicating complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Python, Git.
  • In-depth knowledge of machine learning theory and application.
  • Experience with data cleaning and experimental design.
  • Experience with LLM prompt engineering, problem-solving using LLMs, and applying LLMs to real-world use cases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., data science, statistics).
  • Experience working with large biomarker datasets.
  • Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes.
