Job Mission

This is a dynamic, outcome-oriented AI Product Owner role who will lead the development and execution of AI-driven initiatives and technology incubation that enhance product design and performance, business operations across multiple sectors, and customer service capabilities.

You will contribute to and deliver the ASML AI capabilities roadmap supporting multiple domains-R&D, operations, enabling functions, and foundational platforms-ensuring alignment with the enterprise data strategy and Responsible AI principles. You will also be responsible for technology exploration and incubation of new data, AI, and analytics capabilities.

The selected candidate will be part of a global ASML IT & Data Chief Data Office (CDO) AI Services team and will be responsible for prioritization, planning, coordination, and delivery of regional and global AI capabilities, initiatives, and enablement for ASML US business lines, sectors, and departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

AI Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Contribute and deliver the ASML AI product vision, strategy, and technical foundation roadmap in collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Support and enable AI use cases across ASML AI domains such Product Leadership, Engineering Efficiency, Operational Efficiency, and Employee Enablement.

Backlog Management

  • Own and groom the AI product, services, and enablement backlog, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and alignment with business value.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable epics and user stories for AI development teams.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with internal business owners, data scientists, and business/IT architects to understand needs and drive adoption.
  • Represent AI initiatives in cross-functional forums and leadership reviews.

Delivery Oversight

  • Collaborate with scrum masters, release train engineers, and DevOps teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of AI solutions within the allocated budget.
  • Monitor KPIs and value realization from deployed AI capabilities.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure AI solutions adhere to Responsible AI guidelines, security protocols, and data governance standards.
  • Support the establishment of an AI security fast track and cleanup of known issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product ownership or program management, preferably in AI, analytics, or data platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience as delivery manager, product manager, business analyst, business intelligence analyst, or equivalent roles
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and AI/ML lifecycle management.
  • Experience with AI platforms (e.g., Azure ML, Databricks, ServiceNow AI agents).
  • Proven expertise with diverse approaches, models, procedures, and solutions used to deliver the duties and responsibilities mentioned above, including:
  • Proven experience with enterprise IT service management for analytics and data management platforms
  • Proven experience in leading Agile teams, adopting SCRUM methodology, and establishing an agile culture
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, communicating, and realizing the business benefits and use cases for analytics and data management capabilities including Big Data platform, data science tooling, structured databases, data warehousing, data virtualization, and data visualization
  • Proven expertise with Atlassian JIRA including configuration, reporting, and sprint management, story authoring, and backlog grooming
  • Working knowledge of hyperscaler AI offerings and vendor differentiation related to analytics and information processing capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience and interest in leading small regional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with diverse organizational levels and backgrounds (business and IT)
  • Excellent customer management skills, with a proven track record of customer relationship building translated into customer success
  • Exposure to semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Understanding of data integration, predictive maintenance, and digital twin technologies.
  • Familiar with enterprise Information Technology concepts and processes (i.e. ITIL, COBIT, etc.).
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to work independently and manage competing priorities, requests, and engagements
  • Effective using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio).
  • Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality of information and demonstrate ethical behavior.

Other Information

  • This position is located on-site in San Diego, CA. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
  • A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to two days a week).
  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

$100,875-168,125

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
