Job Details

Under general direction of the VP - Strategic Global Sourcing Services & Solutions, the Director, Sourcing Operations is responsible for the operational functions of the Global Branded Rx, Generic Rx & Consumer Sourcing teams. They will work closely with Sourcing team members to operationalize suppliers, products and relevant contract terms and contact information. The role will facilitate ad-hoc project management and organization of the Global Sourcing Operations function including managing a team to facilitate supplier set-up and onboarding as well as product set-up.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Operational function of the Sourcing teams to include new supplier/item setup, ongoing supplier/item management and product launch communications, among other operational responsibilities.

  • Input, track and monitor supplier / master data changes including all relevant updates to Branded Rx, Generic Rx and Consumer Sourcing technology & CRM Tools (i.e. Saleforce.com, Cencora Supplier Portal etc.).

  • Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Sourcing teams; identify key alignment areas and required areas of differentiation between teams.

  • Pinpoint systemic issues that lead to poor service, missed opportunities and misaligned communication, and recommend new procedures, technical solutions or policy changes enabling compliance and ease of doing business.

  • Develop and lead initiatives to optimize business processes within the organization that reduce the burden on the Sourcing teams

  • Liaise with internal functional groups to ensure Sourcing's alignment with internal operational requirements (i.e. Master Data Solutions, Performance Solutions, etc.).

  • Keep abreast of industry knowledge, new and existing trends, to ensure ABC's voice is heard and is positioned to influence; through industry meetings, industry publications, regular interaction with internal stakeholders and manufacturers.

  • Cultivate and maintain on-going partnership with Cencora leaders, maintaining knowledge of Cencora business operations, strategies, priorities and needs, to ensure consistent messaging and compliance, transparency to issues, and to meet stated company initiatives.

  • Continue ongoing development and management of Sourcing Knowledge Management & Training.

  • Support Ad hoc projects as necessary.

  • Manage a team of direct reports as appropriate.

  • Provide operational support to resolve day-to-day issues.

  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

10+ experience required. This individual requires broad training in fields such as business administration, supply chain similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Pharmaceutical experience highly preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

  • Ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Word

  • Knowledge of CRM applications (i.e. Salesforce.com)

  • Experience managing large volumes of data

  • Experience developing and maintaining SOPs

  • Demonstrated experience working in a highly matrixed environment

  • Previous experience managing and developing direct reports

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
