Position Title: Metal Fabrication
Wage: $20/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-2:30pm QPS Employment is hiring in Metal Fabrication! This is a hands-on opportunity to work with precision, build quality products, and grow your skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an associate to hire opportunity in Richmond, IL. Metal Fabrication Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up and operate various fabrication machines including punch press, brake press, bus bar and structural steel machine - Drill and punch holes in metal - Maintain equipment, making repairs or modifications when necessary - Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions - Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, or smooth surfaces, seams, or joints of assembled parts, using hand tools or portable power tools Metal Fabrication Requirements: - Repetitive grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and moving about all shift - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, team lifting occasionally due to size of metal sheets being loaded into machine - Occasionally lift, pull, push - will use overhead crane as needed - Excellent hand-eye coordination needed - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions - Experience with hand and power tools preferred - Previous experience brazing or welding is a bonus QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
