Position Overview

The Business Analyst supports OCHIN's mission by coordinating and delivering integrated products and services from preferred technology partners to member organizations. This role combines business analysis with project coordination, ensuring successful implementations, workflow optimization, and stakeholder alignment. The Analyst gathers and interprets business and technical requirements, manages timelines and deliverables, and provides subject matter expertise on supported products and systems. Acting as a bridge between technical teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders, the Analyst drives process improvements, resolves issues, and supports strategic initiatives that advance organizational goals.

Essential Duties

  • Lead and coordinate assigned projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and quality standards are met. Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain momentum.
  • Gather, document, and translate business and technical requirements into clear, actionable plans for implementation teams. Assess impacts of proposed changes and provide recommendations that support operational efficiency and member success.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, external vendors, and member organizations to align on project goals, expectations, and outcomes. Facilitate effective meetings, maintain transparent communication, and produce clear project documentation.
  • Evaluate workflows and operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Lead or contribute to initiatives that streamline operations, enhance system functionality, and improve service delivery.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on supported products and systems. Share knowledge with colleagues, mentor less experienced team members, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Healthcare, Healthcare IT, Project Coordinator, or Business Analyst role or experience project managing including presenting/meetings, communications, and tracking progress from beginning to end preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of Epic experience in healthcare/ heath IT setting preferred.
  • Experience working with ancillary healthcare products/systems e.g. Dax Copilot, PACS, Vitals, dictation, and medication management products preferred
  • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of business models in a health care/health IT setting preferred. Preference given to candidates with preferred skills/experience.
  • Prior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50-60-minute competency assessment. The assessment gives us insights into how your strengths, preferences, and work style align with the OCHIN's nine core competencies. It's not about passing or failing-it's about understanding fit and setting you up for success.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

To keep our colleagues, members, and communities safe, OCHIN requires all employees-including remote employees, contractors, interns, and new hires-to be vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine, as supported by state and federal public health officials, as a condition of employment. All new hires are required to provide proof of full vaccination or receive approval for a medical or religious exemption before their hire date.

Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.

  • It is a requirement that employees work in a distraction free workplace
  • Travel required up to 20% nationally for on-site Go Live support based on business requirements for OCHIN

Base Pay Overview

The typical offer range for this role is minimum to midpoint (min - $70,214 mid-$87,767), with the midpoint representing the average pay in a national market scope for this position. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors directly relevant to this position, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, responsibility, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
