Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Field Sales Specialist to join our Consortium Book Sales & Distribution team in Minneapolis, MN.

The Sales Specialist will work with Sales representatives, award-winning publishers, and independent bookstores to facilitate growth in the trade sales channel.

The ideal candidate will develop and maintain customer and client relationships, will have strong problem solving, time management and analytical skills, excellent communication and a passion for reading and working with books. In this role, you will collaborate with the Consortium sales, marketing and customer service teams to support our award-winning clients. Responsibilities include organizing key sales meetings, managing regional conferences, attending Winter Institute, and working directly with assigned accounts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or year-for-year related experience
  • 2 years of book-related sales and/or customer service experience
  • 1 year experience working with MS Excel, including using formulas, vlookups and pivot tables

Preferred Skills:

  • Book industry experience or strong interest in books

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports field sales representatives with sales material and training to increase sales.
  • Facilitates Field account sales operations and is the go-to person for resolving issues.
  • Manages seasonal Presales and Sales Conferences planning and execution.
  • Coordinates participation in regional shows and represents Consortium at key events.
  • Educates and trains client publishers on sales processes.
  • Estimates seasonal Field sales, tracks sales, and reports quarterly results.

Hiring Salary Range:$72,895k -$92,168k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
