Title: Supervisor, Engineering, Asset Managment Hiring Manager: Sid Bhatt Recruiter: Mark E Koener TITLE: Supvr Mechanical Systems Reliability PERFORMANCE COACH: Director Asset Management COMPANY: Tampa Electric DEPARTMENT: ES/ED Asset Management POSITION CONCEPT: The Supvr Mechanical Systems Reliability directs the development of a standardized fleet Maintenance strategy for mechanical system assets such as Steam and Combustion Turbines, Rotating Equipment, Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG), High Energy Piping and Balance of Plant Assets. Leads the execution of Asset Management Programs including Predictive Maintenance, Unit Heat Rate/Efficiency, Lubrication, Work Planning and Scheduling, Work Order Standards (including Asset Hierarchy) and Outage Management. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
SUPERVISION Direct Supervision: Direct supervisory responsibility for the Mechanical Reliability team. Indirect Supervision: Consultants, project, and reliability teams. QUALIFICATIONS Education Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited or mutually recognized program. Licenses/Certifications Preferred: Florida Professional Engineer's License Experience Related Experience Required: 6 years of work experience in mechanical system design, implementation, operation, and maintenance. Preferred: Experience with combustion and steam turbine operation and maintenance Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA) Required: Working knowledge of mechanical system design, operation and maintenance. Requires a strong understanding of power generation principles, work practices and associated materials. Ability to organize, lead and resolve technical and process problems. Project management skills, time management skills and communication skills. Preferred: Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate individuals to meet organization goals and personal development needs. Working knowledge of reliability centered maintenance practices, continuous improvement practices, thermodynamic modeling, tracking generating unit performance metrics WORKING CONDITIONS Ability to work in a powerplant and energy delivery environments for extended periods of time.
