Technical Project Manager

This role is the strategic bridge between product vision and technical execution, ensuring our digital health platform projects are delivered successfully and on time. The incumbent will work at the intersection of healthcare innovation and cutting-edge technology, directly impacting how millions of people access and receive care.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Product team to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and realistic timelines in collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans with clear milestones, dependencies, and resource allocation.

  • Monitor project progress using data-driven approaches, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

  • Lead project retrospectives and implement process improvements based on lessons learned.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the central communication hub between Product, Engineering, Design, Clinical, QA, and external stakeholders.

  • Facilitate effective collaboration between technical teams and healthcare professionals to ensure clinical accuracy and usability.

  • Coordinate internal resources and manage relationships with third-party vendors and integration partners.

  • Run efficient project meetings, sprint planning sessions, and stakeholder updates.

  • Foster a collaborative, transparent environment where all team members feel aligned and motivated.

Technical Project Oversight

  • Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical constraints, dependencies, and implementation approaches.

  • Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.

  • Support technical decision-making by providing project context and business requirements.

  • Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer throughout project lifecycle.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.

  • Bachelor degree preferred or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.

  • 3+ years of project management experience with software development teams, preferably in SaaS or healthcare technology environments.

  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-month software projects from conception to launch.

  • Strong technical aptitude with ability to understand software architecture, APIs, and integration challenges.

  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.

  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms.

  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, business, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare technology, digital health, or regulated industries.

  • Background in product management or technical roles (engineering, QA, technical writing).

  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.).

  • PMP, CSM, or other relevant project management certifications.

  • Experience working with clinical teams or healthcare professionals.

  • Previous experience at a startup or high-growth company.

Salary Range:

$86,000 - $117,390

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
