This role will lead the design and development of responsive, intuitive user interfaces for our digital health platform. This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who can deliver clean, scalable code while collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop modern, responsive, and accessible front-end applications using React, React Native, Typescript, and Next.js.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and Product Managers to implement pixel-perfect experiences.

  • Build and maintain reusable components, design systems, and front-end libraries.

  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility, performance, and accessibility compliance.

  • Integrate with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and contribute to system architecture planning.

  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to maintain code quality and reliability.

  • Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies.

  • Use GitHub, Jira, and Confluence to manage workflows and documentation.

  • Contribute to experimentation and innovation in applying AI to front-end development.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.

  • Bachelor degree preferred or relevant experience in lieu of degree.

  • 10+ years of front-end engineering experience, including React and JavaScript frameworks.

  • Experience building SaaS platforms or consumer-facing web applications.

  • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, accessibility (WCAG), and responsive design.

  • Familiarity with front-end tooling such as Webpack, Babel, ESLint, and testing libraries.

  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and working in microservices environments.

  • Commitment to clean, scalable code and attention to performance optimization.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment with cross-functional collaboration.

  • Desire to learn and master a variety of AI tools to increase speed for coding, UX personalization, and QA.

Salary Range:

$121,200 - $165,375

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
