We are looking for an organized and customer focused Design Supervisor to lead our non-standard custom design team. Working as part of our Engineering team, you will bring technical rigor through process and productivity in support of our product growth. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Support custom enclosure product developmentvia oversight and coordination of custom design resources in a fast paced, diverse and quality focused environment Review incoming work:Verify the accuracy of information received and coordinate the assignment of the work Manage and mentor a team of designers focused on custom designs and personal development Create and provide reports:Monitor project status and team productivity. Monitor customer demands:Assign and prioritize resources based upon demand and capacity Cultivate an Agile environment:Encourage standard work through agile and robust processes. Ensure standard work and quality processes:Ensure team members follow established processes for compliance and efficiency of design work. Support and promote continuous improvement:Empowering employees in problem-solving and decision-making. Teamwork: Cultivate an efficient flow of work with inter-company partners: Quotations, customer service, operations, supply chain and Engineering to ensure customer requirements are met and improvements to the process are identified and improved Ability to interpret & analyze product standards & and regulations
YOU HAVE:
Associates Degree or equivalent in design Ideally 8+ years of in a designing/drafting environment with at least 1-2 years of supervisor experience Experience in leading teams to achieve goals Familiarity with JD Edwards and SolidWorks preferred Sheet metal experience preferred

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $62,900.00 - $116,900.00
