We are seeking motivated and compassionate individuals to join our Emergency Department Registration team across several hospital locations. This role is ideal for candidates who are eager to learn, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are passionate about helping others during critical moments. Schedule & Availability * Full-time . * Initial training: 2 weeks, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts. * Post-training schedules vary by location and may include: * 4x10 hour shifts per week. * Morning, evening, and overnight shifts. * Weekend and holiday availability required (2-3 weekend shifts per 28-day period). * Flexible start times ranging from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Training Program * 12-day, 120-hour department training. * Includes 1 day of classroom instruction followed by hands-on shadowing and reverse-shadowing with experienced trainers. * Training covers system navigation, insurance processes, and patient registration workflows. Key Responsibilities * Register patients in the Emergency Department using mobile computer stations. * Collect and verify insurance information, co-pays, and patient demographics. * Audit accounts and run reports to ensure accuracy and completeness. * Navigate high-volume, high-stress environments with professionalism and empathy. * Collaborate with nurses, physicians, EMTs, firefighters, and internal administrative teams. Work Environment * Emergency Room and Trauma Center settings. * Exposure to a wide range of patient scenarios including trauma, pediatric, psychiatric , and critical care. * Must be comfortable with the realities of emergency medicine, including blood and death. Ideal Candidate Profile * Strong customer service skills and punctuality. * Professional demeanor with the ability to show empathy and compassion. * Sociable, confident, and a team player. * Physically capable of pushing mobile computer stations and standing for extended periods. * Quick learner with a desire to grow and develop new skills. * Reliable attendance and strong communication are essential. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
