The Communications Coordinator plays a key part in helping align our day-to-day operations with the company's vision through the coordination of companywide meetings and events, special projects, and communications support. The Communications Coordinator is a clear communicator, quick to adapt, and energized by working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Reporting to the Director of Communications, this position also offers the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the marketing and business development teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate companywide and cross-departmental meeting/event production.
  • Conduct outreach by email and phone calls to Willdan employees across a variety of departments, positions, and locations.
  • Assist in the coordination of communications campaigns and events.
  • Support special projects, intranet content, energy conferences, and occasional data collection.
  • Help organize department data and build libraries of tools, templates, reports, and content assets.
  • (10-15% of time) Process invoices and manage travel arrangements and logistics for department meetings.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • 2+ years of coordination and/or administrative experience (or positions of increasing responsibility in a service-related field).
  • (Preferred) Bachelor's degree in a communications-related field.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Outgoing personality, comfortable reaching out to colleagues without prior introductions.
  • Fast learner who can quickly grasp new tools, topics, and workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Enjoys creating and implementing processes.
