Job Objective: To support the successful execution of projects-whether new developments, process changes, or operational initiatives-by ensuring that all key quality-related activities are properly planned, executed, and validated. The Project Quality Engineer works closely with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with customer requirements, internal standards, and applicable regulations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Act as the quality lead within project teams, working alongside the Project Manager to ensure that all critical activities are completed and validated successfully.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Logistics, Purchasing, and other departments to define and implement quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and ensure the execution of required tests, validations, and approvals to guarantee product and process conformity.
  • Monitor, document, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions. Apply lessons learned to prevent recurrence of non-conformities.
  • Ensure the validity and proper application of quality assurance systems in production and dispatch processes.
  • Approve and oversee the creation of new product codes and changes, ensuring that requests are clearly defined and properly documented.
  • Define and maintain quality documentation (control plans, inspection guidelines, self-monitoring systems) for assigned projects.
  • Identify significant, critical, and safety-related product features. Deliver training on production processes and statistical capability (Cp/Cpk).
  • Travel between the Manchester and Somersworth, NH Facilities as required or requested

Job Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or similar).
  • Experience in quality assurance within automotive or manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and control plans.
  • Familiarity with VDA 6.3 audits and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
