JOB PURPOSE: The Supervising Clinician serves as an Evidence-Based Practice Champion and primary clinical leader on an interdisciplinary team, focused on providing time-limited, evidence-based practices in an outpatient clinic that serves individual adults, couples, families and children. The Supervising Clinician will provide evidence-based treatment to veterans, particularly those who served in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and their families. In addition to direct clinical care, the Supervising Clinician is responsible for supporting the Assistant Clinic Director/Clinic Director through the provision of supervision, case consultation, and mentoring in CBT and other targeted, manualized interventions. The Supervising Clinician will supervise full time licensed clinicians, student clinical interns, Fellows, or associate level clinical staff. The Supervision Clinician will ensure interns are fully trained and supported during their internships as well as following state regulations and academic requirements for standards of performance and documentation. This position would also be responsible for ensuring MOUs are up to date for each academic institution. Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: At least a Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in the Mental Health or related field. Must have acquired all related state licensures and/or certifications. Specialized training and experience in evidenced based treatment of trauma required. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five years of active experience as a fully licensed clinician preferred. Experience working with adults, children, couples, and families is required; Knowledge in DSM-V diagnoses is required; Experience in PTSD diagnosis and treatment is required; Certification or documented proficiency in one or more of the following EBP's: PE, CBT and CPT is required. Experience working with military populations and/or Veterans is strongly preferred; Experience providing direct supervision; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Must be highly organized and detail oriented. ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion. LICENSES: Licensed Psychologist, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT required. Either currently possesses a Supervisory credential or is eligible to obtain a Supervisory credential within 6 months of hire is required. Driver's License with clear record. VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice. OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required to meet business needs. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others. Employee should expect to work at least one evening a week and some weekend days during the month to accommodate the schedules of the clients being served in addition to regularly scheduled hours.
