Buyer II

This role will be responsible for sourcing and procuring an array of product and components that will aid and support our fast paced Research and Development programs. As well as managing vendor relationships and detailed cost analyses on a project-by-project basis.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance of the R&D Purchasing Manger to identify suppliers and prepare RFQs for New Product Development opportunities.
  • Complete bid evaluations and analysis to determine recommended sourcing award.
  • Prepare/Organize RFQ's for product categories, complete bid evaluations under the guidance of R&D Purchasing Manager.
  • Maintain Procurement Systems information - item description, pricing, etc.
  • Analyze and deliver timely cost information.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for execution of Supply Agreements that achieve lowest total system cost, and which are in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Source new components and suppliers based on NPD Engineering development and New Product needs
  • Collaborate with different organizational teams for New Products and sourcing
  • Create, place, and manage Purchase Orders for New Product Development
  • Manage detailed Bill of Materials costing
  • Assist the Supply Chain/Purchasing team(s) as required/assigned.
  • Should be self-motivated and possess high level of personal initiative.
  • High level of creativity; ability to evaluate and address training needs of personnel
  • Must maintain a high level of energy, able to effectively facilitate multiple projects

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and experience in a similar position: Product development, Purchasing, Manufacturing, etc.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience ideally within RV or manufacturing
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions.
  • Highly motivated and a passionate about their work
  • Strong proficiency using MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Travel

Local travel maybe can include 10% for this position. Potential international travel but not immediate.

Must be eligble to work for any employer in the United States. Visa sponsorship will not be offered for this role.
