JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a Sr Buyer to join the supply chain team at a leading supplier of avionic-standard aircraft communications, navigation, and audio/intercom systems. This is person will play a critical role in managing the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationships for bare PCBs, fully assembled CCAs, and electronic components for high-reliability aerospace and avionics products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics procurement, proven negotiation skills, and experience working with both domestic and international suppliers.

Responsibilities:
*Source, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for PCBs, CCAs, and electronic components to ensure optimal quality, cost, and delivery performance.
*Manage relationships with fabrication houses (PCB), assembly providers (CCA), and authorized component distributors/OEMs.
*Oversee procurement activities from RFQ issuance through PO placement, expediting, and delivery follow-up.
*Maintain accurate procurement records and transactions in ERP/MRP systems (Oracle).
*Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to drive cost savings and establish long-term supplier partnerships.
*Partner with engineering, quality, and production teams to align supplier capabilities with program requirements.
*Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues.
*Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and reliability.
*Ensure supplier compliance with IPC standards, AS9100, ITAR, and aerospace/defense quality requirements.
*Stay informed on industry trends, including component obsolescence risks, long lead times, allocation issues, and supply chain disruptions.
