Responsibilities

Keysight's Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) located in Santa Rosa, California exists to provide precision mechanical components and subassemblies that enable the capabilities of Keysight's industry leading electronic measurement equipment. The PMTC Model Shop is at the center of prototyping activities for mechanical needs of Keysight's new products under development. The Model Shop Front Door plays a key role in reviewing requests from across the company and helping to define the process flows required for fabrication.

Job Qualifications

Keysight is looking for a highly motivated individual with desire to contribute to the development of new products through collaboration with engineers, machinists, technicians and the rest of the organization. This position requires an understanding of manufacturing processes and material flows along with excellent communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Accept jobs in online Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Review with technical experts to determine job routing required to manufacture parts and/or assemblies per the request.
  • Assign jobs to appropriate resources based on technical requirements, workload, scheduling and business priorities.
  • Communicate with customers to clarify requests and negotiate delivery dates if needed.
  • Coordinate the purchase of lower level materials and tooling.
  • Create Routings in ShopTrack system that drives our MES
  • Manage jobs through all process steps, working with each department to meet the customer request.
  • Manage outsourcing of work to external suppliers, including request for quotes (RFQs), managing purchase orders and ensuring delivery dates are met.
  • Ensure data in Manufacturing Execution System is up to date and accurate.
  • Collect data from MES, maintain and report Model Shop weekly metrics (MS Excel).

Familiarity with the following will be helpful:

  • GD&T - basic familiarity
  • CAD skills (Siemens NX & Teamcenter, PTC Creo Elements Direct Design and Drafting)
  • Basic understanding of Milling, Turning, WEDM, Sheet Metal

Pay Range:

USD $68,930.00 - USD $114,880.00 Year
