Join OptumServe as a Travel Psychologist and help serve those who've served our country. You'll be part of a mobile medical team conducting Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), assessing veterans and active duty service members across the U.S. This role combines clinical expertise with travel flexibility, offering a mix of in-person exams at mobile and fixed sites, telehealth evaluations, and remote report writing. What You'll Do: Perform in-person and telehealth mental health evaluations for VA disability claims Review medical records and provide evidence-based assessments Document findings using standardized templates and submit timely reports Collaborate with medical teams and support VA contract operations Travel nationwide up to 50% of the time What You'll Need: PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program Active, unrestricted license to practice psychology in any U.S. state 1+ year of experience conducting VA C&P mental health exams Strong diagnostic skills, especially in PTSD and related conditions Comfortable working in diverse settings: mobile clinics, telehealth, homebound exams Reliable internet and dedicated home workspace Preferred: VA C&P Examiner Certification Experience with veterans or military populations Familiarity with EHR systems and VA documentation standards Why Join Us?
