POSITION SUMMARY:



  • The Product Owner, Applications Development reports to the Corporate Director, Ecommerce & Applications
  • Located in Mansfield, MA
  • Full-Time
  • Hybrid



The Ecommerce/Digital Commerce Technical Product Owner is a product management role focused on the technical aspects of e-commerce and digital commerce products and platforms. This role involves defining the technical vision, managing the technical product backlog, and overseeing the development process-with a strong emphasis on technical feasibility and alignment with business goals.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Key responsibilities include leading e-commerce projects, managing technical requirements, and facilitating communication between stakeholders and development team
  • Ensure technical feasibility, manage technical requirements, and oversee data migrations, APIs, webhooks, and integrations with third-party suppliers
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Function as the primary liaison between development, quality assurance, and technical integration teams, facilitating clear and effective communication
  • Clearly communicate product goals, technical requirements, and project updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback, analyze market insights, and incorporate learnings into product iterations and future development
  • Merchant Empathy: Talk to merchants and write code. Build deep connections to truly understand their needs
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Engineering, Data, and other teams to deliver solutions that are both innovative and effective
  • Product Leadership: Lead and own products from concept to market impact, with rapid prototyping as a standard practice
  • Quality and Timeliness: Maintain high standards while ensuring timely product launches
  • Data-Informed Decisions: Make decisions grounded in data and driven by direct merchant insights


COMPETENCIES:



  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, design, and business stakeholders
  • Leadership skills to guide the product vision and motivate teams towards common goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering innovative and effective solutions
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



  • Strong technical expertise in SaaS product management and e-commerce, with experience in software development, system architecture, and API integration
  • Experience with Shopify is a plus
  • Proven experience in technical product management, including defining product vision, managing backlogs, and leading cross-functional projects
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges
  • Experience working with clients, understanding their needs, and translating those needs into actionable solutions
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.


In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
