Hourly Pay Range:

$57.76 - $80.86 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Nurse Practitioner - Evanston Township High School

  • Location: 1600 Dodge Ave, Evanston, IL

  • Full Time/Part Time: Part-time, 24 hours per week.

  • Hours: Mon/Wed/Thu between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Occasional flexibility needed for after-school events, emergencies, or school-related health activities

  • Required Travel: n/a

The ETHS Health Center staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, and social workers provide primary care and psychosocial services to District 202 students with parental consent. The mission of the Health Center is to empower students to take agency of their own health care practices, and optimize their lifelong physical and mental health.

District 65 students ages 5-13 may access clinic services for school physicals and immunizations only.

What you will need:

  • License:Advanced Practice Licensure (APRN) in the State of IL required;FederalDEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required

  • Family Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification required

  • Education:Completion of Master's level program in specialty area

  • Certification:BLS/CPR certification required

  • Experience:Experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a background in pediatric care, primary care, or school-based health care preferred.

  • Special Skills: Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

What you will do:

  • Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments

  • Promote wellness and prevent illness and injury in various settings for individuals, families, and communities

  • Work autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants

  • Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

  • Provides comprehensive health care including physical exams for adolescent patients ages 13-22, management of acute and chronic illnesses, reproductive health services, referrals for mental health and other specialty medical services, and education about disease prevention and health promotion.

  • Works as a member of an interdisciplinary team, interacting with students, parents, and school staff regularly. Ability to lift and move medical supplies and equipment as needed.
