Summary

The role of a Manufacturing Technician I involves carrying out all production processes in compliance with cGMP, environmental health and safety regulations, and any other relevant guidelines. Manufacturing Technician I is encouraged to fully participate in both departmental projects and any quality working teams which may be applicable. Working closely with the lead technician and under the mentorship of the supervisor, this role will involve actively carrying out all tasks within the production area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support all local manufacturing operations.
  • Set up and operate general production equipment.
  • Complete relevant documentation following GDP/GMP guidelines.
  • Perform cleaning of equipment, small parts, and production area.
  • Receive and allocate supplies to the production area as needed.
  • Lead stretching exercises to promote a healthy work environment.
  • Prepare and package product for shipment, where applicable.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and understanding of cGMP regulations.
  • Skilled in various math fields; capable of using both metric and USA measurement standards.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed written instructions.
  • Robust communication skills; capable of operating optimally and swiftly in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays; overtime may be required at times.
  • Ability to operate in a sterile environment with specific attire and protective gear as mandated for safety protocols.
  • Basic computer navigation skills.
  • Understanding of basic chemical and biological safety procedures per applicable guidelines.
Physical Demands
  • Attendance and punctuality are crucial.
  • Must have the capability to lift, push, move, and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs; regular standing and walking required.
  • Visual inspection is required, and near point corrected vision must be at least 20/25 or country-specific equivalent. Vision checkups will be performed on an annual basis. Inspectors must pass a standard eye test including a near vision acuity test. If vision cannot be corrected, the employee must be assigned to other areas.
Working Environment
  • The job involves operating within a clean room/classified environment while wearing attire. Personal protective equipment is mandatory for safety compliance.
  • Employees are required to follow the Baxter Dress Code Policy, which prohibits the wearing of make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish, or artificial fingernails in the work environment.
Education and/or Experience
  • Requires a High School diploma or equivalent experience with no manufacturing-related experience required.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $45,760.00 annually. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
