Job Location Duke University Hospital, Inpatient Medical Oncology Service Job Summary The Medical Oncology Advanced Practice Provider provides direct patient care on the inpatient medical oncology unit and works in collaboration with attending physicians and other medical professionals by collecting and documenting data, obtaining/ordering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, laboratory studies and professional consultations. The age-specific scope of practice is between 18 and older. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Job Eligibility Requirements Education NP: Graduate of accredited MSN or DNP Nurse Practitioner Program for adult care PA: Graduate of ARC accredited Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree Physician Assistant Program Certification NP: Any NP certification that treats adults (FNP, ANP, AGNP, AGACNP, etc.) PA: PA-C Licensure NP: Unrestricted RN licensure issued by or recognized by the NCBON with authorization to practice as a NP PA: Unrestricted medical license issued by NCMB with authorization to practice as PA Both: Federal and State DEA independent license with prescriptive authority Experience APP experience is preferred, ideally Oncology related, but recent or 2025 pending APP grads are welcome to apply. Additional preferred skills and qualifications:
Job Hours Monday through Sunday including weekends and holidays, 12- hour day shift, 7A-7P. 13 shifts per 28 days.
