Summary Description - A quick overview outlining the general purpose and major functions of the job. Material handlers are responsible for all functions relating to supporting the manufacturing floor by staging raw materials and removing finished product from the line and taking it to the warehouse. Also, periodic cycle counts are sometimes required to insure accurate inventories. Major Responsibilities - Outline responsibilities and duties of the job covering all performance areas. Performing work safely and in accordance with GMP and housekeeping standards. Awareness of surroundings - Slip / Trips / Falls / People Safe driving techniques while driving and operating lift Proper use of LOTO Understand and adhere to all safety requirements. Drive lift trucks - clamp and fork. Bring raw materials to the manufacturing floor. Take finished product to the warehouse for storage. Occasionally perform cycle count/inventories. Accurate scanning of incoming and outgoing product to and from production area. Basic skills with Highjump barcode system. Authority Level - If applicable, list the job titles that report to this position. EDUCATION Required: High School or Equivalent EXPERIENCE Required: 2+ years of lift driving SKILLS Preferred: Barcode scanning knowledge/experience Clamp Truck experience Requirements - If applicable, describe the essential physical functions of this position. Standing, walking, and lifting. Ability to use bar-coding systems. Willingness to work weekends and overtime. Good math, problem solving, and reasoning skills.
