Position Title: Plant Floater
Wage: $17.75/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:00pm - 11:00pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Plant Floater for a company in Lake Geneva, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity for 2nd shift. Apply now! Plant Floater Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Use air-activated guns and belt sanders to remove burrs and blend surface flaws - Maintain specifications and tolerances on parts; remove excess metal or flaws marked by inspection - Operate wheel equipment to grind gates off casted parts; report machine issues to supervisors - Operate press equipment and report any machine issues to supervisor or leads - Inspect casted parts and report any quality issues; conduct quality checks - Hand dip or operate robots to coat wax molds with slurry and sand - Prepare molds for autoclave and maintain shell equipment; mix and maintain slurry levels as per instructions - Operate wax presses and finishing machines - Assemble patterns to runners and inspect wax parts for defects; attach wax parts to trees using hot glue - Maintain clean work environment - Follow safety and quality policies Plant Floater Requirements: - Previous knowledge of abrasive cut-off saws, or related machinery - Mechanical aptitude or previous machine operation experience - Excellent communication across team members - Attention to detail - Able to multi-task - Able to read and understand English directions - Able to use basic hand and power tools - Able to repeatedly lift parts ranging in weight from 10 pounds to 55 pounds - Able to stand for extended periods of time QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
